NEVER FORGET

You are probably wondering why I have placed two images on my home page related to veterans and Operation Just Cause. My father is a Vietnam Veteran and I feel strongly about the issue of military personnel still missing or unaccounted for from the Vietnam War. (I know it was officially called the Vietnam Conflict but let's tell the truth here.)

I don't know for certain if there are still American military personnel alive in the southeast Asian theatre but I suspect there might be. This is enough to make me want to get some straight answers from our elected officials. Most of you don't seem to care what the folks is Washington, D.C. do anymore. Only 20-25% of you vote in the elections! This apathy is not good for our country. The only way we are going to find out what really happened to our people is to keep writing our officials and demanding a full account from them and Vietnam.

How would you like it if your son, daughter, husband, wife, father or mother was listed as missing and no one but you cared? I was lucky enough to have my father come back in one piece and be there for me while I was growing up. Unfortunately, thousands of people weren't so lucky.

If you want to help, the best thing to do is adopt a missing serviceman. Click on the Operation Just Cause link above and find out more information. Click here to see the information about the one I have adopted.
